Leadership is vital because leaders and leadership are important for you and me, for people’s well-being and satisfaction, for business performance and for the society.

Leadership is in constant change, and the requirements for and demands made on managers to practice good leadership are in constant motion. There are numerous reasons for this - among them are globalization, digitalization, individualization and demographic development. New generations come out into the workforce - the latest generation of these being the 'online generation'. They are ready to work in businesses. They do not have the same limitations as did earlier generations, and their expectations and attitudes are different - sometimes radically so.

This book addresses itself to everyone who is affected by and works with leadership, or who has an interest in leadership in some way. It is meant more as a source of inspiration than a handbook on the technical leadership skills required of a manager.
