When a spirited group of graduate students returns to Liberia after earning advanced degrees and experiencing a different form of democracy abroad, they demand change from a government steep in tradition. But when President Diggs ignores their demands, the students devise a bold plan to bring down the government. Meanwhile, the administration is in a diplomatic row with the United States, its long-standing ally, and pressure is mounting on the President. But the administration's domestic and international blundering is just the tip of the iceberg. A team of covert operatives dispatched by the Kremlin, and operating in the Mediterranean Sea, is monitoring events closely and has contingency plans in place. After several firmly worded communiqus from Washington fail to keep the Liberian leader focused, a dark and ominous team of quiet professionals in a very secret community halfway across the globe-is unleashed-and they are on the move.
