Beskrivelse
Human papillomavirus (HPV) belongs to a diverse group of DNA viruses that affect human skin and mucous membranes. It can be transmitted from one person to another, leading to the formation of benign and potentially malignant growths known as papillomas. Some types of HPV are oncogenic, increasing the risk of developing cancer, particularly cervical cancer.
