Robert Banks Cornelius Jr. was only sixteen when he made the big move from his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, to New York City. The teenager had big dreams of life in the Big Apple and used his passion for business to make that dream come true. Banks Cornelius saved up money waiting tables and completing other jobs to move, and he has called New York home for the past fifty-two years.
