The world is changing faster than ever. We experience this almost daily, also at work. But the core of what employees want has been pretty constant for years. People want to be able to express and share their talents, receive fair treatment, have the opportunity to learn and grow, get recognition for what they do and feel safe in their work environment. Technology should help with this, to make things easier and sometimes even better. The reality is, however, not always that rosy. In many organisations, employees struggle on a daily basis with all kinds of digital tools. Digital employee experience (or DEX) provides a framework for organisations to put the needs and expectations of employees first in digitalisation, from a joint, strategic approach and in line with broader organisational objectives. DEX also offers new ways to understand how organisations can work remotely, digitally, asynchronously and hybrid and how this aligns with what employees want.
