Samantha Reagan's ordinary routine as a newly minted lawyer was suddenly and irrevocably intruded upon by a dead body, a box of money, and a ghastly looking stranger sent to kill her. It had all started one evening when her law firm's senior partner called and asked her to deliver a box of files to his associate. This seeming innocuous request forever changed the course of her life. Accused of murder and on the run, Sam flees Nashville and temporarily finds some measure of peace while hiding in plain sight in the tourist town of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
