Daisy Jackson is a cynical divorce lawyer. Unexpectedly she inherits a rickety farmhouse in Provence and sets off to France to overlook the renovations. Here she meets the local builder, Gabriel Laforet, who has deep ties with the house and thinks he should be the new owner. They are completely opposites: Gabriel is laidback and from the country whereas Daisy is a career minded city girl with everything in control. Despite their differences and disagreements, they are slowly drawn to each other.
