An Alien Joined My Class is the first in the "Word Play" series that introduces a few multisyllabic or otherwise advanced words to young readers. Told with rhyme, the story follows a little girl who is surprised by the opportunity to make a friend when a unique new child is added to her class. It's a gentle introduction to diversity and inclusion.
