For as long as any of them could remember the world had been going The Family's way. They had their friends, their allies, their soldiers and their connections to the world. They also had their three special servants who weren't restrained by the usual limitations of the flesh. Those three have always had appetites however. There even happened to be those among the three that knew of envy and hate and can remember what others have forgotten of the past and intend to profit from it. Vincenzo Attanasio thinks all the world is his even as his father lies at the brink of death. And why not? The Family was all his as much as he could have ever wanted it to be.
