Beskrivelse
Most girls dream of becoming a mother someday. Akeir M. J. was no different. From the time she was fifteen years old, she declared to anyone who would listen that she was going to have two boys and two girls. Two years after getting married, her plan seemed to be on schedule after giving birth to a healthy son and two years later being pregnant with her second child-a daughter, but during a routine ultrasound, M. J. could tell by the technician's body language that something was wrong-dreadfully wrong. She then received news no mother wants to hear.
Sixty-Nine Days in the NICU is a story about one woman's indomitable faith and tear-stained journey toward fulfilling her dream of motherhood. M. J. shares the unspeakable pain that comes with having a gravely ill child and the sometimes-helpless feeling of having to trust others with the care of your child, as well as how her faith often was rewarded with tiny miracles.
Sixty-Nine Days in the NICU is at once a heartbreaking and triumphant story about the power of love to overcome any tragedy. Anyone who has loved and lost will relate to M. J.'s story, especially a mom.
